When you sign up for our Planned Deliveries service we top up your tank as needed to minimise the risk of you running out of oil. We use automatic telemetry systems meaning you will not need to call us up to order your fuel as Oil 4 Wales will determine when deliveries are to be made!

Additives

Don’t blame the fuel.

All Aga & Rayburns are designed to be used with commercial kerosene to burn with a char factor of 5-7 bpm.

The British Standard allows for up to 20 bpm as standard, but no fuel company can guarantee 5-7 bpm. If your kerosene is not treated with an additive, such as Excoet, then it will cause sooting known as premature carboning. There is nothing wrong with the fuel: it is simply the case that all Aga and Rayburn cookers should have the additive put in with the oil at time of delivery to prevent this.
